Meredith is the broker/owner for her real estate company in Longmont, Nelson Real Estate. She and her husband also keep busy managing their rentals and working on
fixer uppers.
Meredith is active on two local non-profit boards and several community committees. In her free time, she loves to play golf, hike, travel with her husband and spend time with their two pugs, Divot and Nugget.
Joan Horsfall
Teacher, Retired
Joan is in her fourth year on the Longmont United Hospital Foundation Board. She serves as the Chair of the Education Committee and is a member of the Marketing and Fundraising Committee. Joan received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from UNC Greeley and was a teacher in the St. Vrain School District for 22 years.
Joan and her husband have two children and three grandchildren.
Bonnie Finley

Past Chair of the Longmont United Hospital Foundation Board, Bonnie now serves as Secretary. Bonnie is retired from the State Chamber of Commerce where she worked for over 17 years. Bonnie also currently serves on the Veterans Community Project Board and the Hover Senior Living Community Board. She has been involved with the 529 Jump Program which gives Kindergartners $50 for their CollegeInvest accounts.
Bonnie served on the Longmont City Council for eight years.She and her husband Kurt, have two married sons, 4 grandsons and one granddaughter.
Scott Kanemoto

Scott has served on the Longmont United Hospital Foundation Board and its Finance Committee for 3 years. Scott is a 4th Generation Longmont Native, graduate of Regis University with Degrees in Business Management and Economics. He is a Vice President/Broker at Crest Insurance. He’s married to his wife Beth, and they have 3 children.
Sally Barbe
Nurse, Retired (LUH)
Sally worked as a nurse and Service Line Director at LUH for nearly 41 years prior to retiring in 2018. She has well rounded experience in managing people, identifying barriers and implementing solutions to enhance morale and providing excellent patient care.
Sally has served on the LUH Board of Directors for nearly 4 years as well as the LUH Foundation Board of Trustees. She is currently the chair of “A Woman’s Work” which is a 503 (c) (3) that is a unique funding source for women in the St. Vrain Valley who need financial support for immediate needs that cannot be met by other sources.
Sally and her husband, John, live in Longmont and enjoy all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. Sally especially has a great passion for gardening, hiking, and camping with family or just alone with her dog, Summit. They also enjoy time spent with their 2 adult children and soon to be, 2 grandchildren.
Chad Hatfield

Chad Hatfield joined LUH as CEO on August 29, 2022. Chad, while on a mission to elevate the community’s well-being through service and unwavering support, joins us from Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, where he served as CEO of the 300-bed facility.
Chad has more than 15 years of experience in high-performing, participative management, team-concept organizations, and he has led operations for both small and large organizations including new acquisitions and multi-site locations.
Chad earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, and master of Science in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia.

Renaldo is the Regional Sales Director | West Coast for AVH (Accelerate Venture Holdings). Renaldo has been in B2B business sales since 2013 in the automotive vertical market.
Renaldo joined the LUH Foundation Board in 2021. He has three children, and he and his wife, Jenny, enjoy family and traveling.
Dick Lyons
Lyons, Gaddis P.C., Retired
Dick is a semi-retired attorney, currently serving as Senior Counsel to the law firm of Lyons Gaddis. He and his wife, Jody, moved to Longmont in 1979. Both have been active in the community and in various non-profit organizations.
Dick has served on the Board of Directors for Longmont United Hospital, including two years as Chair. He is an active Rotarian and has served on the Board of Directors of Longmont Rotary and as a member of the Longmont Rotary Foundation. He has also served as Senior Warden of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Chair of the Foundation of the Boulder County Bar Association, a Trustee of the Colorado Bar Association, and Chair of the Boulder County Election Review Commission, as well as serving on several other civic and community boards and commissions. For 20 years, Dick has served as a volunteer international election observer representing the U.S. Department of State.
Dick is a U.S. Army veteran. He and Jody have two adult children and three grandchildren.
John Martin

John joined the Longmont United Hospital Foundation Board in 2023. John graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BS in Accounting and from the University of Iowa with an MBA in Finance. He retired from Micro Motion (Emerson) after 32 years in accounting, sales, business development and marketing roles. Since retiring, John has been driving part-time for Via Mobility. He and his wife Chris own and operate Play It Again Sports of Longmont.
In their free time, John and his wife enjoy golfing, traveling and spending time with their three children.
Ryan Mason

Ryan enjoys being an independent financial planner where he is free to utilize whatever investment strategies and insurance products make the most sense for his clients. This sets Ryan apart from employee advisors in big banks, insurance companies, and brokerage/wirehouses, as he works strictly for his clients and not to further a corporate agenda. Ryan has a burning passion for helping his clients as their trusted financial advocate.
When Ryan is not helping his clients with their financial planning and wealth management needs, he enjoys spending time with his family in the beautiful Colorado outdoors. Ryan believes in donating his time to organizations that improve the lives of others and has been active in the Longmont community. He has served as President of the Rotary Club of Longmont (2016-2017), President of OUR Center Board of Directors (2017-2019), Vice President of Boulder County Estate Planning Council (2020) and incoming President of Boulder County Estate Planning Council (2021) In 2021, Ryan joined the Longmont United Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees.
Christina Quintana
La Mariposa Restaurant
Christina is an owner and director for her family business, La Mariposa Restaurant. La Mariposa has been a part of the Longmont community for over 35 years. Christina has served on the LUH Foundation Board of Trustees for 2 years and is on the Community Connections Committee. She is a Longmont native and received her BS from the University of Northern Colorado in Business Administration. Christina and her husband live in Longmont and have one child.
Charles P. Sloan
RN Practitioner, LUH CHPG Family Medicine Longmont
Charles is a graduate of the Chamberlain University family nurse practitioner program and a native of Colorado.
He has been practicing in family medicine with the Centura Health Physicians Group, which is affiliated with Longmont United Hospital, since 2020, He has also been involved in the management of chronic wounds at the Longmont United Hospital outpatient wound clinic for the last 8 years. He is board certified in family medicine, through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Charles is also board certified in wounds and ostomies by the Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification Board.
Charles’ interests also include literature, utilizing the bike paths of Colorado, and frequenting the Denver museums.
Fran Wahl
Teacher
Fran is a community volunteer and mother of 3, all of whom were born at Longmont United Hospital. Past Hospital employee and TAILS volunteer, Board Member of A Woman’s Work, chair of the Longmont Christmas Home tour. Fran currently is working as a substitute teacher.
Carol Yoakum
Meadow Green Farms
Carol moved to Longmont in 1967 and has been an active volunteer at the hospital since 1969. She began working with the LUH Volunteers, served on the Volunteer Board and then the LUH Board. She has been on the Foundation Board for over 10 years, now serving as a Trustee Emeritus.
Carol and her husband, Harvey, own Meadow Green Farm and continue to be very active in the business community. Carol is the mother of four children, grandmother to six and great grandmother to six.
